Terms and Conditions

Thank you for choosing our property. This is a very special place and we are delighted to share it with you. We hope that you will take advantage of the many activities that our area has to offer during your stay. As owners, we have gone to great lengths to ensure that this property remains a place where families and friends can gather in comfort. As a result, we ask that you abide by a few simple guidelines to make sure that both you and our permanent residents can enjoy this time to its fullest.

Full payment is required at the time of booking. Payment includes rental amount, Michigan use tax, cleaning fee, pet fee and refundable security deposit.

Cancellation: Full refund 30 days prior to arrival date.

CHECK-IN PROCEDURE – Check in times are at 4:00 pm.   We will make every attempt to have the property ready by 4:00 pm.   You may be able to check in earlier if the property is ready to be occupied.  Please call Michelle at 231-590-9817 for information about a possible early check in.

WIFI – WIFI is provided. The password changes about once a week. We will provide you with most current password at the time of check-in.

CHECK-OUT IS 11:00 AM – It is important that the person cleaning the property be able to begin procedures at 11:00 as new guests are likely to arrive by 4:00. Thank you for your consideration. Check out procedures are outlined on the following pages.

CONDUCT – We ask that you please be respectful and neighborly. Hopefully no additional instruction is necessary in that regards.

KEYS/LOCKER/ELECTRONIC KEYPADS – Please call Michelle at 231-590-9817 prior to your arrival to receive information on check-in time and the key code for the door. Please verify that all keys are returned when you depart. If you have any problems with the locks, keypad, etc., please call Michelle.

PETS – We understand… we have a dog too! And we all like to think that our dog is housebroken, doesn’t bark, and doesn’t shed. If you have a pet (pre-approved of course), please be courteous of both the neighbors and our property. If your dog is barking and bothering the neighbors, we will receive a call. Any fines or damages to furniture, etc., will be passed on to your security deposit.

CABLE TV/SATELLITE SERVICE – Cable TV is provided. Each TV should have a remote and a channel listing near the TV when you arrive. Additionally, the living room is equipped with a DVD player.

FIRE EXTINGUISHERS – Please make a mental note as to the location of the fire extinguishers when you arrive at this property.

THERMOSTATS – Please help us conserve and use common sense in regards to heating and cooling. Please do not turn the air/heat on and open doors and windows at the same time. We would really appreciate your help with keeping the energy in and the costs down.

REFRIGERATOR – DO NOT adjust temperature settings.  Leave the setting in the middle, otherwise, too much strain on compressor may make the unit shut down.

FURNISHINGS – If you notice any maintenance issues with the furniture or anything else, please let Michelle know, or leave a note on the counter. Please do not move the furniture.

MAINTENANCE ISSUES – Please call Michelle if you have any problems.

NON-SMOKING – This property is non-smoking.  Guests can utilize outside areas including decks, porches, etc. for smoking.  Please do not discard cigarette butts on decks or porches unless there is a butt can available.

HOUSEKEEPING – We are very serious about providing you with a clean and well-kept property. After you check-out, this property is cleaned by the owner or a paid contractor. If you have a housekeeping issue, please feel free to call Michelle at 231-590-9817.

TRASH REMOVAL – Trash removal will be completed at the end of each reservation.  Daily trash removal is not provided. We have several cans available and additional garbage bags in the kitchen drawer. When possible PLEASE RECYCLE!!! When you depart, please place all bagged garbage and recycling by the front door (inside).

Finally, I remind you that this property is personally owned and ask that you treat it as your own. To help preserve the owner’s property, a check of the property’s condition will be conducted following your departure. Any damage is your responsibility, so please respect and care for our home.
